Lansing, MI - This by far is one of the best burritos I've ever had. This is from a mexican food stand on the corner of Marting Luther King and Mt. Hope. It was this little stand, but because of great popularity, it expanded to larger stand. They had some awesome food! These burritos have rice, meat (or no meat), lettuce, and some kind of sauce. Their hot sauce was out of this world. It was so good that I would be tempted to drive up to Lansing just to have some more of it. If you're there, stop and get something, I promise you won't regret it. Enjoy

Lansing, MI - Beans and rice, always a perfect side dish for a mexican dish. This is from Taco Loco and it was ok. I was actually a little surprised on how bland it was. I'm definitely not complaining since it was much better than just some fast food, but it could have been better. Enjoy (maybe not at this place).

Lansing, MI - Wouldn't you love a restaurant where you can walk in and just ask for any dish you want, doesn't even have to be on a menu? If you like Korean food, check out Rivi's Deli. This is Kimchi Stew, sorry I don't know the Korean name for the dish. The owner suggested I try this one day, which is not on the menu. It has cabbage, onions, and beef all stewed together. It was a great "home cooked" meal! It was awesome, try it out some time. Enjoy!

East Lansing - So, this isn't the most pleasant looking picture, but it was quite good. This is vegetarian cabbage rolls from a middle eastern restaurant called Woody's Oasis. From the looks of it, it probably doesn't look very appetizing, but I was surprised. It's filled with rice, potatoes, and spices. Near the end, I may have started to get cabbaged out, but it was a great new dish and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Enjoy!

Lansing, MI - If you have an opportunity where you meet the restaurant's owner and they'll cook what ever you want, well, it's a dream. In Lansing, there is small deli called Rivi's Deli. If you call ahead, she will cook any Korean dish you want. Today's feature is called Den Jon. I told her to recommend a dish and she said, how about this one? I love ordering food when I have no idea what I'm going to get. It has potatoes, onions, zucchini, green peppers, and beef, in a beef broth. The broth could almost be mistaken for a sweeter sauce, but it's not. It's very unique and fantastic! Enjoy.

Lansing, MI - This is Rivi's Deli again. How awesome is a restaurant when you can go in and order anything you want and the owner cooks it for you. The lady that owns Rivi's Deli, sandwich and deli place, but also special Korean dishes if you ask, will make what ever you like, even if you don't know a name, she'll just make a dish. This is Bulgogi Sushi. Well, there's no fish, but the bulgogi is served up in a sushi roll style. It has rice, egg, cucumber, carrots, and bulgogi meat. It was very good. Especially for those people who are not into seafood, this would be perfect. Enjoy.
Lansing, MI - This is one of the best canolis I've ever had. This is from my favorite bakery in Lansing called Roma's Bakery. Delicious. Their canolis have cream in the middle, chocolate chips on each side, and the outside is covered in powdered sugar. The cream inside has a slight citrus flavor, which really helps to contrast the flavors and please the pallet.

Detroit, MI - Have I mentioned I like food. The morning of this breakfast, I was planning on going to the Lions game. So of course I eat breakfast at home, met up with some friends about an hour later, and they said we were going out for breakfast before the game. We went to a place called Atlas Bistro in downtown Detroit. Needless to say, even though I just had breakfast about 1 1/2 hours ago, I eat again. I had their french toast. MMMMMMM! It was great. If I would have taken a picture afterwards, you would have seen an empty plate. With all this eating, I didn't eat anything at the game! :) Enjoy.

Lansing, MI - Pizza Pizza! I mean real pizza! This is a deep dish like no other. This is from Deluca's, one of the best pizza places in Lansing. This is a deep dish with pineapple and garlic cloves. I don't mean crushed garlic or garlic salt. It's full garlic cloves! I think this pizza is better than the Pizza Popolous in the Detroit area. After two, if you're lucky, three pieces, you're done. Try it out and Enjoy!

Lansing, MI - Look good? It tastes better than it looks! This was so tasty. Too bad it's such a small cream puff. This is a chocolate cream puff from Roma's Bakery. They have one of the best selections of deserts in Lansing. When you go there to check it out, make sure the chocolate cream puff is on your menu! Enjoy!

Lansing, MI - I'm always a sucker for eggs benedict, so when I went to the Golden Harvest in Lansing and saw they had a Veggie Eggs Benedict, I had to try it. The eggs, spinach, and english muffin was very good, but just the basic. It's the hollandaise sauce that changes this dish. It has a stronger citrus flavor, so it was a little unusual, but very good. However, there was just a bit too much of the sauce. Cut down on the sauce and it's a great dish. There's one problem with this restaurant, it allows smoking and the place is tiny. It was a huge turn off for the place. There were several dishes I would have loved to try, but with the next table smoking and you trying to enjoy your breakfast just doesn't mix. Enjoy the food!
